Born in Parsons, Kansas, Charlotte "Sista C" Ferrell, is the CEO and persona for Charlotte Ferrell and Associates. Her collaborative company provides professional consultations, digital media production, instruction and legacy building services in clients' work places, public spaces, or homes. It uses diverse means, including virtual conferencing, photography, videography, television, and the internet.

As a Health Promotion Consultant for the City of Toronto, she co-produced quot;Your Public Health" cable TV show, helped establish Toronto's Breastfeeding Month, and coordinated a HIV awareness rap music contest where winners' songs were aired on a hip-hop station. As a researcher at the University of Toronto, she co-directed a Nutrition in Family Planning project with sex education columnist, Dr. Marion Powell, and produced, "Could Your Sex Life Stand an Affair with Nutrition?"

Her Los Angeles highlights include over 15 years with US VETS-Veteran's Initiative in Inglewood, as a Food Safety Trainer and Nutritionist who helps create healthy cyclic menu for residents and participates in their spoken word events. During her 17 years as a University of Phoenix (SoCal) faculty member Charlotte has often spoken, presented excerpts of her films, and done poster sessions at the annual Faculty Scholarship Symposium. In 2015, she was awarded as a Faculty of the Year by the College of Humanities and Science.

Participants regularly assert how revitalized they feel after participating in her "HeartBalm ~ Just for You" events which integrate spoken word, music, journaling, and fun with social media. After Charlotte decided to re-invent herself and pursue the "deferred dream" of becoming a filmmaker, she accomplished it as an honor graduate in the Digital Cinema/Video Production program at the Art Institute of CA-Hollywood. Her narrative short films, "One Score and 17 Nights", and "Sisters out of the Box" have won laurels and honorary mentions at film festivals. She loves exploring social issues, health, family values, spirituality, and inter-generational relationships.
